In IFS, we work with three core aspects of your internal system:
Protectors – parts that try to keep you safe by controlling, avoiding, managing anxiety, or shutting things down
Exiles – younger parts that carry pain, fear, shame, or unmet needs
Self – your natural inner guide, characterized by calm, clarity, compassion, and confidence
The goal of therapy is not to eliminate parts, but to help your Self lead your system, creating more balance, trust, and internal harmony.
